A couple and their service dog asked to leave a Knoxville mall

Woman with service dog

Today in #TheySaidThursday, Assistance Animals Consulting is highlighting a news story by covered WBIR, “A couple and their service dog asked to leave a Knoxville mall".  In my work as a veterinarian, I understand the importance of having a service dog. These animals assist people with disabilities in their daily functions.

In short, this article highlights a woman with non-visible disabilities using a service dog at a local mall.  A mall security officer requested for them to leave the mall because of her dog.

With this news story, I see the need for Workforce Development as it relates to service dogs and businesses.
